Job Description:
We are looking for a UAS Architecture Lead to join our team.
This role involves building the future of autonomous combat
vehicles and aircraft by creating infrastructure and architecture
for aircraft development and supporting rapid system design.WHAT
YOU'LL DO
- Build the future of autonomous combat vehicles and
aircraft.
- Create infrastructure and architecture for aircraft development
and tooling to support rapid system design.
- Work with cross-discipline teams to determine complex system
trade-offs.
- Define, architect, and integrate modules, payloads, and
subsystems into a full vehicle system.
- Develop communication architectures for interconnected avionics
systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and test
engineers to deliver fully functional products.
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments,
active deployments, and customer-operated hardware.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages
concurrently.
- Conduct hands-on measurements of power systems, including
inrush and transients, andsystems, including inrush and transients,
and identify fault protection and isolation schemes.
- Define vehicle state machines, faults, diagnostics, and
behaviors.
- Plan and document signal interconnections between system
components by generating harness schematic drawings.
- Build vehicle electrical bench setups (copper birds, bucks) and
HIL systems to facilitate bring-up.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or
equivalent.
- Experience with electrical system design and architecture for
large UAS or military aircraft.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting/ simulation languages
such as Python, C,Rust.
- Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems
involving networked microprocessors or embedded systems.
- Experience in the development and testing of electromechanical
devices.
- Proven ability to use programming to solve challenging problems
and increase efficiency through automation.
- Understanding of low voltage and high voltage circuits and how
to debug them.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects
concurrently.
- Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces (CAN,
Ethernet, RS422, 1553, etc.).
- Experience reading system interconnect schematics and connector
pinout drawings.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written
and oral).
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security
clearance.
PREFERENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with payload integration on military and/or large
unmanned aircraft.
- Experience with cable design and interconnect
drafting.
- Familiarity with aerospace power standards (704, 461,
464).
- Familiarity with aerospace communication buses (CAN, Ethernet,
EIA-422).
- Proficiency with C or other embedded languages.
- Familiarity with software development processes and tools such
as Git, GitHub, JIRA.
- Experience with hands-on measurements for bus integrity
(communications and power buses).
